Essential Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in Nursing.
- Experience working in a community based clinical practice within the last 3 years.
- Active registration or eligible for registration with N.A.N.B.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills including experience in public speaking and media relations.
- Must be bilingual in accordance with South-East Regional Health Authority policy, ie. ability to speak and write English and ability to speak French.
- Experience with word processing, data base management, statistical analysis, and graphic presentations.
- Ability to function independently and in a team environment.
- Demonstrated clinical practice that applies evidence based knowledge to clinical situations with clients across the lifespan.
- Knowledge of the target population of Extra-Mural Program and available community resources.
- Good driving record and able to transport self to all work areas locally and provincially.
- Demonstrated strong leadership skills.
- Good previous work and attendance record.
- Physically and mentally capable of performing assigned duties.
- All mandatory certifications must be up to date including BCLS or willing to obtain.
This position will require that the incumbent be able to work at both the Moncton (Driscoll Unit) and Sackville (Tantramar sub-unit).

Basic Duties:
Working in collaboration with the Extra Mural Program Leadership Team, the Community Homecare Specialist provides leadership, based upon expertise in the community environment which facilitates optimal delivery of services in the Extra Mural Program within South East Regional Health Authority. This role includes the five components of practitioner, consultant, educator, researcher, and leader. The balance of these components will vary depending upon the needs of the Extra–Mural Program and its clients. Work is performed in accordance with the NB Extra Mural Program provincial policies and procedures as well as SERHA administrative policies.
