Director, School of Nutrition and Dietetics

Position # 20702-CB - The School of Nutrition and Dietetics is seeking a Director to fill a tenure-track position at the rank of Associate or Full Professor commencing July 1, 2009. 

The ability to provide visionary leadership and to mentor a relatively junior faculty cohort is essential.  Creating an environment which supports the development of niche careers featuring dynamic teaching, and fostering a research culture in the School are vitally important.  Excellent interpersonal skills, team building and communication skills are required. 

The successful candidate will possess a Ph.D. in Nutrition or Food Science, and should be able to teach courses in nutrition, dietetics or food.  The successful candidate will have a program of research and scholarly activity.  Equally important is the ability to facilitate research collaborations and help others develop their research careers.

This is an academic position, reporting directly to the Dean of the Faculty of Pure and Applied Science.
