Appointment Coordinator
Our client, Halifax Chrysler Dodge, a Chrysler Five Star Retailer with one of the largest service departments in Nova Scotia, has an immediate opening for an Appointment Coordinator to join its team of highly dedicated service professionals.
Reporting directly to the Manager of Fixed Operations, the Appointment Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring the productive allocation of service staff resources and in providing excellent service to customers.
Specifically, the position is responsible for:
- Answering incoming customer calls related to service required on their vehicles to determine the customer's needs.
- Tracking available hours for service work based on the availability of technicians.
- Scheduling appointments to have the service work completed.
- Calling customers due for service to obtain appointments.
- Recommending suggested maintenance to customers based on the manufacturer's guide for their vehicle.
- Tracking no-shows and missed appointments and following up to reschedule.
- Performing other related tasks as assigned.
Required qualifications and attributes include:
- Experience in the automotive service industry.
- Knowledge of automotive terminology.
- Exceptional telephone handling skills and telephone etiquette.
- Excellent communication skills, especially verbal.
- The ability to effectively handle customer complaints and maintain excellent customer relations.
- The ability to multi-task and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Computer literacy.
- A friendly, service-oriented personality.
