Branch Manager
Location: Fredericton

Position Title:  Branch Manager

Position Objective: Administer the day-to-day operations of the branch, including but not limited to customer service, sales, inventory control, security and employee management.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage all day-to-day aspects relative to customer service, inventory control, facility maintenance and security; distribution of goods; optimization of branch profitability
  • Supervise a cross functional team through the following responsibilities: recruitment, training/ development, coaching/counselling and delivering Performance Excellence program
  • Contribute to the preparation/execution of annual operating plan including sales, gross margins, expenses and earnings
  • Monitor and control of inventory; safeguarding of same
  • Maintenance of positive customer relationships including customer calls as necessary

Required Experience and Qualifications:

  • A minimum of five years progressive experience in a branch network and distribution centre operation or equivalent combination of relevant education and operations experience 
  • A well-rounded knowledge of industrial business
  • Knowledge of merchandising and inventory management within a systems environment
  • An entrepreneurial attitude, demonstrated through the ability to take ownership of a business and make it grow
  • Proven supervisory, leadership and team-building skills
  • Demonstrated relationship-building and communication skills developed through prior work experience in a sales and customer service role
  • Ability to understand and use financial reports to effectively manage the business
  • Possession of a valid driver's licence
  • Knowledge of the local market would be an asset
